It's time to start thinking Spring! Annuals are rolling in each week, and we're all eager to see some color outside! If you're not sure about what to plant in your shaded front porch pots, full-sun back patio windowboxes, or anywhere in-between - we're here to help! Take advantage of our custom design and delivery services to simplify this Spring while you sit back and enjoy the beauty of the season!
Customs & Delivery
Each Spring at Tonkadale, we present hundreds of planted containers lovingly crafted by our talented design team. We have 10", 12", and 14" that are ready to drop-in your outdoor planters, as well as an assortment of grab-and-go potted arrangements in smaller sizes for indoor/outdoor use and gifting!
If you'd like us to create an arrangement in your own pot or window box - or don't see the design that's perfect for you - we can make it custom!
On top of Spring/Summer pots, we also offer custom window boxes, hanging baskets, permanent grapevine wreaths, and faux flower bouquets.
Custom Designs: How-To
- Connect with Us: An in-store meet and greet is easiest! Our design staff is always available to take your order. If you have questions beforehand, feel free to reach out to us at (952) 938-6480 and your call will be directed to the design team.
- Place your Order: This process includes a quick consult regarding the scope of your design, its colors, size, other preferences, and price point.
- Bring your Pots: If you plan to bring in your own pots, please bring them empty and free of debris. We do charge a dump fee if they show up full of soil.
- Need a drop-in pot? A drop-in container slips into your decorative container and is an easy way to change your pots out seasonally.
- Time for a whole new look? We have a beautiful selection of decorative containers for you to choose from in the greenhouse.
- Pick a Date: Spring is a very busy time in the greenhouse. Place your order in advance to avoid an extended wait time.
- Sit back and Relax: When your pots are complete, we'll give you a call to pick them up or coordinate delivery.
Delivery
Tonkadale offers delivery services within the Twin Cities metro area. We guarantee your plants and purchases will arrive safely and securely, packaged for a punctual delivery.
Delivery rates are based on zip code. Delivery is limited to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Tonkadale will deliver to your doorstep. Set-up rates apply for placement of product. Extra person charge applies for person(s) needed in addition to the driver.
Repotting Services
Our greenhouse crew is always ready to take on your repotting project! If you purchase a plant in store, we are happy to repot while you shop. If you have repotting projects at home, we can take care of that for you as well!
Before you arrive:
- Please make sure plants are pest and disease-free.
- Allow extra time for large plants, divisions, or plants needing a little extra care.
- During peak Spring business, extra time may also be needed.
- In the case of cool weather (<50°F), make sure to wrap plants to protect them from the elements before transport to the greenhouse.
Fees vary depending on the size of the plant and the pot.
