This easy, fast-growing tree prefers medium to wet soils. Drooping flowers, or catakins, appear in spring followed by dark green toothy leaves which turn yellow in fall. Known for its salmon-pink to reddish brown bark that exfoliates to reveal a creamy-white inner bark which provides nice winter interest. An excellent choice for landscapes with low wet area or along ponds or streams. Size: 40-70' tall, 40-60' spread.
