A mounding, rosette-shaped succulent commonly known as Hens and Chicks due to being surrounded by many offsets. In summer flower spikes arise from the center of the rosette. Thrives in rocky and gravelly soils, and easily fills in small spaces. Works well as a groundcover when planted en masse.
