Angel Wing Begonia

Hey plant friends!

This week we are going to be talking about Angel Wing Begonias. These beautiful plants belong to the Begoniaceae family. Begonias are native to subtropical and tropical climates. A lot of Begonias you commonly see are grown indoors or in decorative pots outdoors in the summertime. Begonias are known for their interesting and bright colored foliage.

Begonias are going to want bright indirect light indoors year-round. Direct light will cause the leaves to burn. When watering your plant check to see if the soil is dry only about 2 inches down. Once it is time make sure to water thoroughly. Begonias love humidity so misting would be a great idea to keep your plant happy. As for soil they are going to want a well-draining mix like the Espoma Houseplant Soil. Something to keep in mind when caring for this plant is, they don’t like cold temperatures so make sure your plant is in a warm space in your home. These plants can reward you with small dainty colorful flowers.

We carry many different unique Begonias at the greenhouse, truly a statement piece in any home.

We currently carry Begonias at the greenhouse in 4” and 6” pots. If you have any further questions feel free to reach out to us by phone, Instagram, or email us at hello@tonkadale.com.
