Time stood still this Thanksgiving. Nothing and everything went as planned. It was perfect.

This is the season of gratitude and thanks. When I think about these things, I always feel a twinge of guilt because I never have enough gratitude, or give enough thanks. To do these things takes mindful effort and I need to do more of it – right now. I am grateful for the past, thankful for the present, and have gratitude and awe for the future.

I have everything I need and so much more. The hard part is knowing that I deserve it (and so do you) – a home, a wonderful husband, two bright and healthy children, a job I am obsessed with, great schools, a connected community, a successful business, recognition, achievement, and resources.

On top of gratitude for the things that we have and thanks for the things that are done for us, let’s show grace towards those who might be struggling and praise for those who show great effort.

Have a wonderful holiday season. Give more than you get. Thank you for allowing me to do what I love each and every season and each and every day at Tonkadale. You are my past, my present and my future.

Yours Truly,

  1. Jessie, Once more thank you so much for the wonderful visit we had at your beautiful nursery this year. We enjoyed it so much, thanks so much for the treats! Hope to make that trip again sometime in the future. Enjoy your holiday…………….

  2. To Jess and all the wonderful staff at Tonkadale
Tonkadale has always been a place that has given me so much. The minute you walk in the door you can tell that it isn’t “just” a garden store. Of course the flowers, plants and displays delight. The difference is that behind all of it there is a heart and soul that touches each person. I often come here when I feel down and it always lifts me up. The day I found out my sister was diagnosed with Alzehimers, I left work and drove around. I ended up at Tonkadale and walked through the store with tears in my eyes. One of the staff noticed and asked if I was Ok. She asked if I needed a hug ……..she has no idea what that hug meant to me. I also brought my sister here when she no longer knew me. I held some of the herbs to her face so she could smell their fragrance. I let her touch some of the flower petals and I could tell that this brought her joy. My Dad always loved cats and he was tickled to meet the kitties of Tonkadale. He talked about it for a long time. I bring my grandchildren here to see “Santa.” There is no better place to experience the joy of the holidays. It is connections like these that make a place special and Tonkadale always finds ways to uplift and inspire. I am thankful to be able to visit and shop at such an extraordinary place. Happy Holidays to each and every one of you and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

  3. I am grateful for so much this season. My family and friends who love and support me with love and understanding ❤️
Tonkadale Nursery is my “go to” for every season of the year. And; I am grateful for the opportunity to attend this seasons classes. With Tonkadale’s informative and entertaining classes and their ever famous Santa photo my home happily celebrates this Christmas Season. 🌲 So, thank you and Merry Christmas

  4. I always tell people that Tonkadale is my Happy Place. It’s more than that. It’s my place to go to when I need to calm my mind. It’s where I go when I need to see things growing while everything outside looks like the set of Frozen. It’s where I go for creative inspiration. Thank You, Jessie, and your amazing staff for giving me such a special place where I can retreat and rejuvenate. Blessings to you all and to your families this Holiday season.

  5. Tonkadale is a happy place for me. I love to get swallowed up in the creativity and care that is so very evident. Any guests of ours always get brought to Tonkadale to experience this lovely place. Thank you for giving to me some happiness each time I walk through the doors.
