An herbaceous perennial with large heart-shaped, silver leaves with green veins and margins, and periwinkle-like blue flowers. The common name of ‘bugloss’ comes from the Greek word for ox tongue, which probably refers to the roughness and shape of the leaves. Excellent in containers, along streams or ponds, or en masse as a groundcover.
