This week I have a song in my heart and I want to share it! I love what I do! A piece of me is in every part of Tonkadale and I am so grateful to be able to share it with you.
This Sunday is Mother’s Day, which in this industry is kind of a big deal. This is the time we celebrate mothers, for everyone has a mother! There are traditional mothers, the ones who gave us life, and all kinds of other mothers that we come across as we walk through life. For that we are grateful!
It’s about the time when it is safe to plant annuals in our area, although some of you may have been tempted to start a bit early this year, and spring in springing! The grass is greener than it ever has been before (maybe due to one full week of rain), the trees are budded out (our allergies are raging), and the lilacs are beginning to bloom. It’s a special time of year.
We here at the greenhouse are working harder than ever to get the plants to you and sometimes we forget why we do this. I guess I should speak for myself and say, “Sometimes I forget why I do this every spring.” The work is hard, the days are long, the questions are endless and the greenhouse is hot.
It’s an honor to do what we do. We are so lucky that we get to share our hard work with you. We have so much to give (including popcorn) to you – the beauty, creativity and knowledge of Tonkadale! We have a great team and are building a great place to work.
Success is the bottom line. The success of our customers, the success of our workplace, the success of the community and the success of the business is really what matters most. Thank you to our team! Thank you to our customers!
