As we’re carving pumpkins and raking leaves, it’s time to look at the days after Halloween to see Tonkadale Greenhouse’s schedule for winter workshops and events.
The season kicks off Saturday, Nov. 1 with our Spruce Top Pot Workshops. Because these are so popular, we’ve expanded our sessions to three weekends in November, and three sessions each day. Workshops will be held on Nov. 1, Nov. 8 and Nov. 15, at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. each of those days.
We’ll give an overview of materials you can use, basic design principles and strategy, and then participants can create their own spruce top pots. Our staff will be on hand to assist with the process. Those who attend can bring their own pots or buy them at Tonkadale.
Cost is $15 per workshop, in addition to materials purchased. Registration is required. See our Seminars and Events page for details and links to register online.
Tonkadale’s Holiday Decorating Seminar kicks off at 10 a.m. Nov. 22. We believe the best way to spread cheer anew is to decorate loudly for all to view! This showdown will give everyone easy ideas for decorating for the season and not just one day.
There’s no charge for this seminar, and registration is not required.
We’ll be rolling out the red carpet for Santa’s visit after Thanksgiving. He’ll be at Tonkadale Greenhouse only two days: Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Nov. 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
We’ll have complimentary photos for family, friends and pets, too. Bring the group and your wish list!
