ABOUT TONKADALE

First, a brief history lesson….

Tonkadale Greenhouse was founded by Bob Anderson in 1947.  He specialized in developing African violet hybrids and readily expanded to produce spring bedding plants.

The business was purchased by Bill and Shirley Maruska in 1978.  1998 and 1999         brought winds of change.  The greenhouse facility was completely rebuilt and the business began to grow. TRAVEL DOWN MEMORY LANE

What we do best…

Tonkadale offers an extensive list of annuals, perennials, roses, fruits, veggies, and herbs each spring.  A large portion of our spring plant material is grown at our off-site growing range in Breckenridge, MN.  TAKE A TOUR OF BRECKENDALE FLOWER FARM  Operating our own growing facility ensures that we are able to provide the best quality and selection to you, our customers. 

Custom containers and combination hanging baskets are Tonkadale’s claim to fame.  We have many talented designers on staff ready to create.  Garden accessories and home decor are icing on the cake.   You can always count on Tonkadale for seasonal inspiration!

Fairy gardening has proven to be a very popular pastime.  If you look carefully, you can catch these mystical creatures frolicking around the greenhouse.  SEE WHAT THEY ARE UP TO RIGHT NOW
