Bye bye, polar vortex! We’re ready to ring in spring. We’re bringing back our favorite past events and are excited to have some fun, new experiences. Check it out, there’s no shortage of springy stuff to do.

Yoga Events

Yoga instructor Sheila Mae
We’re kicking off our spring events with yoga. Grab your mat and join us as we get our bodies flexy, bendy, and ready for moving in the garden. Led by certified yoga instructor Sheila Mae, who is especially passionate about the meditative qualities of yoga as well as the sense of community that builds among students in her classes. Pick your favorite theme or come for all three. $15 per person. Cost includes a mini plant friend. Registration required.

Wanna hang out with us offsite? We’re bringing plant inspired experiences to two of our favorite breweries. Plants and beer. Fun, right? Yeah, we thought so, too.

Terrarium Workshop at Unmapped Brewing – February 13

Bring your friends, enjoy a beverage, and build your own terrarium. Includes one drink and all materials including container, soil, rocks, and plants. Registration required. $75 per person.

Herb Planter Workshops – Back Channel Brewing on March 10 and Unmapped Brewing on March 20

Get a jump on your edible gardens with a mixed herb container of your own design. Includes one beverage, container, soil, and herbs. We’ll bring the tools and clean up the mess! Registration required. $50 per person.

Sips and Succulents – Back Channel Brewing on April 7 and Unmapped Brewing on April 10

Yup, sip and create a container. Includes one drink and materials for a unique succulent container. Registration required. $50 per person.

Indoor Plants 101 Demo Stations – February 16, 10 am-1 pm

Learn how to grow fresh air and food. Demonstration stations include pet friendly plants, herbs, plant care requirements, re-potting, styling, cactus and succulents. Sessions start every 30 minutes. No registration required.

Macrame the Day Away – February 23, 10 am

Create a macrame plant hanger in the greenhouse. Price includes material for plant hanger and coupon for 20% off pot and plant purchase. $50 per person. Registration required.

Spring Wreath Workshop – March 2, 10 am

Create a spring wreath to enjoy inside or outside your home using permanent flowers and foliage on your choice of wreath form. Design direction ranges from fresh and flowery to simple and minimalist. A wreath for every hook! No experience necessary. $15 + materials. Registration required.

Succulent Container Workshop – March 16, 10 am

Curate your own collection from our extensive selection of succulents and create a container to enjoy indoors. Soil included with workshop fee. $15 + materials. Registration required.

Biodynamics of Wine: Wine Workshop and Tasting – March 16, 2 pm

Functional Flowers and Foliage – March 23, 10 am-1 pm

Open-house style education sessions and hands-on workshops. Seed starting, urban edible gardens, loose-leaf herbal teas, herb planting station, micro-greens, veggie garden planning. No registration required.

Spring Pansy Planter Workshop – March 30, 10 am

Aren’t those faces cute! Create a pansy pot to enjoy outdoors. Our expert design staff will be available to assist in planting and design. Great for all ages. Soil and moss included in workshop fee. Bring your own container or purchase one at the store. Registration required. $15.00 + materials

Kombucha 101 Workshop and Tasting – April 13, 10 am

Container Gardening Demo Stations – April 20, 10 am-1 pm

Our design team will be showcasing the best outdoor container designs for sun and shade. Container gardening best practices and new plants for spring. Open house style, no registration required, just show up.

Instagram and Photography Meet-up – April 27, 9 am-12 pm

Join us for a morning of photography fun in the greenhouse. Whether you’ve invested in some serious camera equipment or are armed with your faithful sidekick (your phone) come snap pics of beautiful plants while soaking up the sun and warmth of the greenhouse. We can’t wait to share spring with you and we love when you share your pics with us. No fee or registration required. @tonkadale #yourgreenhousehome

Third Thursdays is back! 10 am on February 21, March 21, and April 18

Bring the littles and listen to a plant or garden themed story with movement and song. Choose to stay for a $10.00 planting project. Children of all ages are welcome to attend. Please register each child.

The days are getting longer, we’re pretty sure it’s going to start getting warmer, and we can’t wait for spring so we’re starting the celebration now!
